TRIP ESSENTIALS

If you are unfamiliar with traveling to Italy, one of the best places to start is the Italian Tourist Board where you can find updated information for tourists: https://www.italia.it/en

Passports

(US Citizens)

American citizens do not require a visa to enter Italy if they plan to stay under 90 days. However, your passport must be valid for at least six months after your planned departure date. Please contact https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en for information on how to obtainor renew your passport.

Health Insurance

Check with your health insurance provider about their policies regarding overseas travel. If your policy does not  cover overseas travel, you may want to research purchasing a short-term vacation health insurance that covers you while travelling
